Responsible Gaming

At protog, we believe gaming should be entertaining, not harmful. We're committed to promoting safe gambling practices and providing the tools you need to maintain control.

Adults Only - Age Restriction Strictly Enforced

protog services are exclusively for individuals aged 21 years and older. We strictly enforce this requirement through mandatory identity verification.

protog is dedicated to providing a safe, responsible gaming environment for all members. While online gaming can be an exciting form of entertainment, we recognize that for some individuals, gambling can become problematic. That's why we've implemented comprehensive responsible gaming measures designed to help you maintain control, recognize warning signs, and access support when needed.

Responsible gaming means understanding that gambling should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money or solve financial problems. It means setting limits on time and money spent, being aware of the risks, and knowing when to stop. At protog, we provide multiple tools and resources to support healthy gaming habits and intervene early if concerning patterns emerge.

Our commitment extends beyond merely offering games. We actively monitor account behavior for signs of problem gambling, provide educational resources about risks and warning signs, maintain transparent communication about odds and probabilities, and partner with professional organizations that specialize in gambling addiction support. Every member of our customer support team receives training in responsible gaming practices and can assist you with implementing protective measures or accessing help resources.

We believe that prevention is better than intervention. That's why protog encourages all members to use our responsible gaming tools proactively, even before any problems arise. Setting deposit limits, session time limits, and reality check reminders from the start helps establish healthy patterns and prevents gambling from interfering with other important aspects of your life such as work, family relationships, and financial stability.

Responsible Gaming Tools

Take control of your gaming with our comprehensive suite of protective tools

Deposit Limits

Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits on the amount of money you can deposit into your protog account. Once a limit is reached, you cannot deposit additional funds until the time period resets. Limits can be decreased immediately but increases require a 72-hour cooling-off period to take effect. This prevents impulsive decisions during losing streaks.

Loss Limits

Cap your net losses over a specified time period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Unlike deposit limits, loss limits account for both deposits and withdrawals, tracking your actual net loss position. When you reach your loss limit, you can no longer place bets until the period resets, protecting you from chasing losses during unlucky sessions.

Session Time Limits

Control how long you spend gaming in a single session. Set a maximum session duration (e.g., 60 minutes, 2 hours, 4 hours), and protog will automatically log you out when the time expires. This helps prevent marathon gaming sessions that can lead to fatigue, poor decision-making, and neglect of other responsibilities.

Reality Checks

Receive periodic pop-up reminders showing how long you've been playing and how much you've won or lost during the current session. You can configure reality checks to appear every 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes. These reminders help you stay aware of time passage and make conscious decisions about whether to continue playing or take a break.

Time-Out (Cool-Off Period)

Temporarily suspend your account for a period ranging from 24 hours to 6 weeks. During a time-out, you cannot log in, deposit funds, or place bets. This cooling-off period gives you space to reassess your gaming habits without the permanence of self-exclusion. Time-outs are immediate and cannot be reversed once activated.

Self-Exclusion

Permanently or long-term block access to your protog account for a minimum period of 6 months up to permanent closure. Self-exclusion is the most serious protective measure and should be used if you feel gambling is causing significant problems in your life. Once activated, self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the exclusion period, and any attempts to open new accounts will be blocked.

How to Use Our Responsible Gaming Tools

Setting Up Protective Limits

All responsible gaming tools can be accessed through your account settings under the "Responsible Gaming" section. Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your protog account and navigate to Account Settings
  • Click on the "Responsible Gaming" tab in the settings menu
  • Select the tool you want to activate (deposit limits, loss limits, session time limits, etc.)
  • Enter your desired limit amounts or time periods
  • Confirm your selections - decreases take effect immediately, increases require 72 hours
  • You'll receive email confirmation of all limit changes

Remember, you can have multiple limits active simultaneously for comprehensive protection. For example, combining a daily deposit limit with session time limits and reality checks creates multiple safeguards.

Requesting a Time-Out or Self-Exclusion

If you need to take a break from gaming, you have two options:

Time-Out (Temporary Suspension): Available directly through account settings. Choose a period from 24 hours to 6 weeks. Your account will be immediately suspended, and you'll regain access automatically when the period expires. No action is required from support staff.

Self-Exclusion (Long-Term or Permanent): Contact our customer support team via live chat, email ([email protected]), or WhatsApp. Request self-exclusion and specify your desired period (minimum 6 months, or permanent). Support will process your request immediately, typically within 1 hour. During self-exclusion, you cannot log in, deposit, withdraw, or place bets. At the end of a temporary self-exclusion period, your account remains closed until you actively request reactivation, which involves a mandatory cooling-off period and discussion with our responsible gaming team.

Modifying or Removing Limits

Decreasing Limits: Takes effect immediately. You can lower your limits at any time without delay.

Increasing Limits: Requires a 72-hour cooling-off period. This delay prevents impulsive decisions during losing streaks when you might be tempted to deposit more than you originally intended.

Removing Limits: Also requires the 72-hour cooling-off period. If you remove all limits and later want to reinstate them, the new limits take effect immediately.

Our support team cannot override the 72-hour waiting period for limit increases or removals, as this waiting period is a critical protective measure.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Gambling becomes a problem when it interferes with your financial stability, relationships, work, or mental health. Be honest with yourself about whether you're experiencing any of these warning signs:

  • Spending more money or time gambling than you can afford or intended
  • Borrowing money, selling possessions, or neglecting bills to fund gambling
  • Feeling the need to gamble with increasing amounts to achieve the same excitement (tolerance)
  • Repeated unsuccessful attempts to cut down or stop gambling
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when trying to reduce gambling
  • Gambling to escape problems, relieve stress, or cope with negative emotions
  • Chasing losses - trying to win back lost money by gambling more
  • Lying to family members or friends about the extent of your gambling
  • Jeopardizing relationships, job, or educational opportunities due to gambling
  • Relying on others to bail you out of financial situations caused by gambling
  • Thinking about gambling constantly, even when doing other activities
  • Neglecting self-care, family responsibilities, or social commitments to gamble

If you recognize three or more of these signs in yourself, you may have a gambling problem. Please reach out for help immediately.

Tips for Healthy Gaming

Follow these guidelines to keep gaming fun and prevent it from becoming problematic:

Set a Budget

Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Never use funds intended for rent, bills, food, or other necessities. Treat gambling as an entertainment expense, like going to a movie or concert, not as an investment or income source.

Set Time Limits

Decide in advance how long you'll play and stick to it. Use our session time limit tool to enforce this automatically. Don't let gambling consume time meant for family, work, hobbies, or sleep.

Never Chase Losses

Accept losses as the cost of entertainment. Trying to win back lost money by gambling more is one of the fastest paths to serious problems. If you've lost your budgeted amount, stop playing regardless of the urge to continue.

Don't Gamble Under Influence

Avoid gambling when consuming alcohol or drugs, or when emotionally distressed. Impaired judgment leads to poor decisions, larger bets, and ignoring limits you've set for yourself.

Take Regular Breaks

Step away from gaming regularly to maintain perspective. Use our reality check feature to remind yourself to take breaks. Continuous play leads to fatigue and poor decision-making.

Balance Your Life

Maintain diverse activities and interests. Gaming should be just one of many leisure activities, not your primary source of excitement or social interaction. Spend time with family and friends doing non-gambling activities.

Remember: The house always has an edge. Over time, the casino will win more than players collectively win. Individual wins happen, but gambling should never be viewed as a reliable way to make money. Games are designed for entertainment, with the understanding that most sessions will result in net losses.

For Family and Friends

If you're concerned about a loved one's gambling behavior, your support can make a crucial difference. Problem gambling affects not just the individual but entire families and social circles. Here's how you can help:

Recognize the Signs: Problem gamblers often hide the extent of their gambling and resulting financial problems. Watch for unexplained absences, secretive behavior about finances, frequent borrowing or requests for money, unpaid bills, valuable possessions disappearing, mood swings, and withdrawal from family activities.

Approach with Compassion: Choose a calm moment to express your concerns without judgment or accusation. Use "I" statements like "I'm worried about you" rather than "You have a problem." Avoid ultimatums or confrontations when the person is actively gambling or emotionally distressed.

Encourage Professional Help: Suggest contacting protog's responsible gaming team or professional counseling services. Offer to help research support options or accompany them to appointments. Emphasize that seeking help is a courageous step, not an admission of weakness.

Set Boundaries: While being supportive, protect yourself and your family finances. Don't enable the gambling by lending money, paying their debts, or covering up consequences. Take control of family finances if necessary. You can be caring without being an enabler.

Seek Support for Yourself: Living with a problem gambler is stressful. Don't neglect your own wellbeing and mental health. Consider counseling or support groups for families of problem gamblers. You cannot fix someone else's gambling problem, but you can take care of yourself.
